Pell

Pell (ペル, Peru?), nicknamed "Peregrine Falcon" (ハヤブサ, Hayabusa?), is one of the two head guards of Alabasta. Pell has a great sense of honor and respect, and protects the royal family. Pell appears to have a soft side, gently conversing with Vivi as a child when she asked about his role as a guardian. He also seemed to have shown his strong loyalty to Alabasta, as he selflessly sacrifices himself to save the country from the exploding time bomb Crocodile had set. However, Pell survives the explosion. He ate a zoan Devil Fruit called the Bird-Bird Fruit, Model: Falcon (トリトリの実 モデル：隼 ファルコン, Tori Tori no Mi, Model: Falcon?, renamed "Tweet-Tweet Fruit, Falcon Type", and "Tweet-Tweet Fruit" in the 4Kids dub), and thus can transform into a falcon or falcon-human hybrid. Also in combat, Pell uses machine guns. He is voiced by Kenji Nojima in the Japanese version. In the English dubs, he is voiced by Matt Hoverman for 4Kids, and by Kevin M. Connolly for Funimation.
